Swoop is a macOS menu bar app and browser helper that saves videos and files to your own Mac. This policy explains how Swoop handles your data. The short version: downloads happen locally, and we do not sell your personal information or collect your browsing history.
Local Downloads
Swoop runs on your Mac. When you ask Swoop to download something, the app makes the request from your Mac to the source website or media host and saves the result locally.
We do not operate a cloud download service, and we do not receive a copy of the content you download.
Browser Helper
The Swoop browser helper may read the current page URL, media URL, page title, cookies, referrer, and user agent when you choose to send a download to Swoop.
This information is sent only to the Swoop app running locally on your Mac so the app can perform the download you requested.
No Browsing History Sale
Swoop does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not collect your browsing history for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

- No cloud copy of your downloaded files.
- No account required to use the local app.
Purchases and Licenses
If you purchase Swoop, Lemon Squeezy processes payment, tax, order, and license information as merchant of record. Swoop may receive limited order and license details needed for activation, refunds, fraud prevention, and support.
When you activate or validate a license key, Swoop contacts Lemon Squeezy's license API with your license key and a local Mac instance name.
Website Hosting
The Swoop website is hosted by third-party infrastructure such as Cloudflare Pages. These providers may process standard technical logs, including IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps, for security and delivery.
Support
If you email support, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and keep a record of the request.
Your Control
You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we control. Some records may need to be retained for legal, tax, security, or transaction reasons.
